Terms of Use

Last updated: October 9, 2026

By using Ottly (called Riseloop before version 2.0) you agree to these terms and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.

What Ottly does

Ottly is a self-control tool. It locks the apps you choose all day using Apple’s Screen Time system and lets you earn time to use them by focusing: 60 minutes of focus earns 10 minutes, which you spend in 10-minute windows. Unspent minutes expire at midnight. You can schedule focus blocks, and you can turn on an optional weekly move rule that reads Apple Health. Earned minutes are not money: they have no cash value and can’t be bought, sold or transferred.

Ottly is a commitment aid, not a guarantee. The locks are applied by iOS, which may occasionally apply or lift them late, and you can always remove every lock by turning off Ottly’s Screen Time access in iOS Settings or by deleting the app.

Apps you might need

Ottly locks whatever you pick, including apps you might suddenly need. Don’t lock apps you rely on for emergencies, safety, health, work or getting around. If you’re locked out when it matters, turn off Ottly’s Screen Time access or delete Ottly; every lock lifts at once.

Health and the move rule

Ottly is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. The weekly move rule is optional. It is a motivation feature, not a fitness or treatment program. Check with a doctor before starting exercise if you’re unsure it’s safe for you, and turn the rule off whenever you like.

Acceptable use & liability

Don’t use Ottly unlawfully or try to tamper with the service. Ottly is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including messages, calls or information you missed while an app was locked, or minutes or streaks lost to a device, iOS or app problem. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll note the date above, and keeping on using Ottly after a change means you accept it.
